“When You Suffer a Loss” by Joan Y. Edwards

When someone you love is no longer with you,
tell God and let it go.

When things aren’t like they used to be,
tell God and let it go.

When people don’t understand what you’re saying,
tell God and let it go.

When you feel unimportant,
tell God and let it go.

When your dreams seem unreachable,
tell God and let it go.

When your house seems cluttered,
tell God and let it go.

When you discover that those you love are not who you thought they were, smile, say, “They’re human. I’m human,”
tell God and let it go.

When the chores seem many and the energy seems low, move around for ten minutes,
tell God and let it go.

When you aren’t who you used to be, shed a tear,
tell God and let it go.

When you feel sorry for yourself, choose how long you’re going to do this: 3 minutes, 3 hours. or 3 days,
tell God, and let it go.

Love yourself the way you are.
Love those who disappoint you.
Love those who anger you.
Accept yourself and others as you are.
Relinquish control to God. Let things go into His Loving Hands.
Ask God to help you. He will help you.
He will straighten everything out. He has a plan for you.

Thank you for reading my blog.  May God bless you in a way that you know it was him helping you see things in a better light. He will give you wisdom, understanding, and love. He will help you smile in the face of your losses!
