Privacy Policy

GDPR or General Data Protection Regulation, in EUR and for those from EUR who use websites located in the US and other countries goes into effect May 25, 2018. It is a law that websites and blogs must protect the personal information of users.

Visitors

Whenever you come to my blog, a popup lets you choose to allow WordPress to use cookies or not. Here is a link explaining how WordPress as  Automattic uses the cookies.

If you subscribe to my website blog updates and occasional newsletters, WordPress.org and BlueHost.com will keep your email address in a protected file on my website. Each time you receive an update from my blog, you have the opportunity to opt out by selecting the unsubscribe button at the bottom of the email.

Comments

If you use the regular comment area to leave a comment on my blog, WordPress asks for your name, email address, and website. It is visible with the comments. However, neither WordPress nor I share this information with anyone. Anyone reading the comments can see your name and click on your website.

We use Akismet software. We ask for your name and website or email address to verify that the comment is not SPAM. unsolicited advertising.quick schemes, or quasi-legal services. If a comment has more than 2 links in it, it will go to the SPAM folder to protect readers from them.

WordPress and I never give your information to a third party without your permission. I use use widget or plugin software but no one other than me sees your information when you subscribe to my blog.

Remember, you can use the pop up cookie controls to limit the information we collect about you when you visit my blog.

You can also choose to deactivate your subscription to my blog updates and occasional newsletters. You have the final say about whether and how we process your personal data. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
