“Into Your Heart, God’s Love Will Glide!” by Joan Y. Edwards
The last month of the year
May bring a tear
Of love, loss, or fear.
I hope you feel new mirth,
A joyful rebirth,
Feeling your worth.
God has a plan.
He fills you with faith, hope, and love.
His love for you fuels your joy and leads to your rebirth.
A new day is in your land.
Grasp it by the hand.
Join the survival band.
Banish fear of defeat.
Seize strength and love so sweet.
Wrap them around your feet.
Be not anxious. Do not delay.
Be not afraid. It causes you to sway.
Be filled wit joy for God is with you every step of the way.
Learn new skills. Grow.
To your dreams go.
Some days go fast and others slow.
Others care.
Others share.
They believe that you will get there.
Listening with compassion turns sorrow into joy that stays
Patience turns anger into understanding ways
Courage turns possibilities into accomplishments for days.
Love yourself so that you may love others more.
Eat the foods of knowledge and wisdom to soar.
Drink the waters that strengthen your skills to the core.
Study. Work. Rest.
Learn. Take action. Do your best.
Give thanks for you have been blessed.
Give thanks for all that you ask God for at the start.
He will put all that you need in your cart.
You will accomplish the dreams he has put on your heart.
Ask and you shall receive it.
It shall be given unto you. Believe it.
God loves you very much. Retrieve it.
Go out and spread your arms wide.
From the heavens into your heart, God’s joy will glide.
He will forever be by your side.
Say, “Thank you, Lord. for filling me with joy!”
Sing: I’ve got the joy, joy, joy, joy down in my heart.
Down in my heart. Down in my heart.”
Thank you for reading my poem. I hope it fills you with God’s joy! May his joy dissolve any worries and anxieties that seem to make you tremble. Please leave a comment. Add a verse you feel. Remember to do something fun today.

Thank you, Joan. A little difficult when my daughter is dying…
Dear Bob,
I am sorry that your daughter is dying. Thank you for sharing this with me. So sad to me. I am praying for you and your daughter and your whole family and close friends. I remember before Carl died, he wanted to know that I would be with him on this path. It is difficult. Your emotions go a little haywire and you feel helpless. May God help give you courage and strength and all that you need.
Listening with compassion turns sorrow into joy that stays
Patience turns anger into understanding ways
Courage turns possibilities into accomplishments for days.
Thinking of Isaiah telling us to rejoice even in the midst of trials.
Bob, have faith , God loves you and your daughter. Our dear son died at age 19, some heart goes out to you.we sit with you , we feel your tears. My husband sought solace in the book of Job. I , read and reread the book of Psalms.we live in a fallen world but when Christ comes again, He will dry every tear.
Dear Joan Leotta,
Thank you very much for hearing Bob’s sorrow in learning that his daughter is dying. I am sorry that you lost your dear son at age 19. So young! I feel so blessed to know you. You care so deeply about others. Thank you. May God bless you and fill your heart with joy to continue to share it with others.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge HIm and He will direct your path.” Proverbs 3: 5. Thank you for your poem. I hope you have a joyous holiday season!
Dear Carol,
Thank you for sharing your Proverbs scripture with me. I do look for God to direct my steps. Sometimes it is a little foggy, but finally the way opens for me to see it in plain view. May your Christmas and New Year’s celebrations be alive most in your heart!
