Under the Weather, Sick, Sad, and Then a Song Brought a Smile to My Face

“Under the Weather, Sick, Sad, and Then a Song Brought a Smile to My Face” by Joan Y. Edwards
It’s good to be able to talk to you. I’ve been under the weather, sick, and sad. I’ve been trying to think of fun things, but not a single thing seemed like fun. I kept hearing the song from Hee Haw that always makes me laugh.

That’s when I said, “Hurray. I’m on the right track now.”
My voice has been barely audible. People couldn’t hear me on the phone. I thought, “What if I couldn’t speak at all?”
Being able to speak is a gift. Being sick isn’t fun, but I have to accept that as a human being, I can sometimes get sick. When I’m sick, I miss get-togethers with family and friends! I miss going to church! I don’t even feel like blogging. Oh now, that’s bad. You know how much I love blogging.
With the doctor’s prescriptions, after 10 days of yuckiness, I am getting better. Pink eyes are almost cleared up. Cold and sinus infection’s clearing up…lots of Kleenex have helped. (It’s a good idea to buy stock in it,huh?) I can talk above a whisper. I finally wanted to do something. I wanted to share that song with you in a blog, in hopes that it might help you to laugh about things bugging you.
Perhaps one of your characters might be sick during a novel. The emotions that run havoc with your mind during sickness is enough to make people go crazy! But thankfully, I claim sanity.
I’m feeling perky today!
I’m glad to be feeling so much better.
Thank you, God for healing me. I pray that you and those you love be uplifted and joyous,
Never Give Up
