“10 Songs to Lift Your Spirits” by Joan Y. Edwards
When I’m feeling a down, sometimes I search the internet for spiritually uplifting songs on YouTube or other sites. Here are ten of my favorites that I believe will lift your spirits and change your focus to happier thoughts.
1. “Shake it Off”  Taylor Swift – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nfWlot6h_JM

2. “Win” Bruce McKnight – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kbE2YOYk5rc

3. “One Last Cry” Bruce McKnight – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_6R8B7Py_o

4. “It’s a Wonderful World” Louis Armstrong – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CWzrABouyeE

5. “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking” U2 plus Gospel Choir in Harlem

6. “Who Says?” by Selena Gomez – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BzE1mX4Px0I

7. “Times” by Tenth Avenue North Band – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAVHeVDML5k

The lyrics will really speak to your heart.
The first half:  You speaking to God.
Second half: God responding to you.
8. “What Makes You Beautiful” One Direction – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CjPc8RVJ0Dc

9. “Firework” Katy Perry – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QGJuMBdaqIw

10. “I Will Always Love You” Whitney Houston (R.I.P.) – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3JWTaaS7LdU

I hope these songs lift your spirits. They lifted mine.

  1. Thank you Joan, you always find a way to inspire me. I could use some songs like these right about now 😊 thank you for reminding me of some songs I had forgotten about and introducing me to some new ones!

  2. Hey Joan! I love the look of your new website. Very nice!
Shake it Off is the song I always turn to when I think of someone not liking my book. Because that will happen — not everyone will like it. That’s inevitable. And people may not say nice things because for some reason people often feel the need to be mean. So I tell myself I will have to learn to “shake it off.” Great list of songs. 🙂

    1. Dear Shawn,
Thanks for writing. I’m glad you love the look of my new theme for my blog. I had a hard time finding another free template with three columns, but I finally found this one. I liked it because it has the number of comments at the top. Also that the links are in lime-green. I’m so glad you like it.
Glad that “Shake It Off” helps you, too. It’s a great thing to remember that we have to let it go when someone says something that upsets us. I haven’t always been able to let it go. I sort of drag it along with me like a fetter on a chain gang for a long time before I’m able to laugh at myself, love myself as I am, and let it go.
      I love you.

    1. Dear JQ,
Thanks for letting me know that you like the new blog theme. I wanted a change. I found this three column theme with a place at the top with comments link. I liked that. I also liked the lime green links. So glad you like it, too. That makes it even better.
      Never Give Up
      Joan
