“God Has More Wonderful Things for You” by Joan Y. Edwards
God has more wonderful things for you. Even more wonderful than you could ever imagine. I found these scriptures that might help you as they helped me during these trying times.
You may not understand the good in any situation, but it is there.
If you’re like me, you may like to compare different versions of the Bible. Some of the wording may reach your heart with better understanding and fill your heart with hope and joy.
2 CORINTHIANS 9:8
New American Bible Revised Edition (NABRE)
Moreover, God is able to make every grace abundant for you, so that in all things, always having all you need, you may have an abundance for every good work.
New Life Version of the Bible
God can give you all you need. He will give you more than enough. You will have everything you need for yourselves. And you will have enough left over to give when there is a need.
The Message Version of the Bible (MSG)
God can pour on the blessings in astonishing ways so that you’re ready for anything and everything, more than just ready to do what needs to be done. As one psalmist puts it, He throws caution to the winds, giving to the needy in reckless abandon. His right-living, right-giving ways never run out, never wear out. This most generous God who gives seed to the farmer that becomes bread for your meals is more than extravagant with you. He gives you something you can then give away, which grows into full-formed lives, robust in God, wealthy in every way, so that you can be generous in every way, producing with us great praise to God.
Ephesians 3:20
New American Bible (Revised Edition) (NABRE)
Now to him who is able to accomplish far more than all we ask or imagine, by the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
God turns everything to good for those who love him
Romans 8:28
New American Bible-Revised Edition (NABRE)
We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose.
New International Version (NIV)
28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
The Message (MSG)
26-28 Meanwhile, the moment we get tired in the waiting, God’s Spirit is right alongside helping us along. If we don’t know how or what to pray, it doesn’t matter. He does our praying in and for us, making prayer out of our wordless sighs, our aching groans. He knows us far better than we know ourselves, knows our pregnant condition, and keeps us present before God. That’s why we can be so sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good.
Hebrews 13:20-21
“Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepard of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, though Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”
God loves you very much. He is there with you every minute of your day! Rejoice and be glad.
