“Ask the Right Questions” by Joan Y. Edwards

If you ask the right questions, you’ll find the answers that can improve your life.  It’ll raise your self esteem. It’ll help you feel better about yourself. It’ll help with reaching your goals. It will help with health situations. It will help in spiritual areas. It’ll help in caregiving situations. It will help you view life better because you’ll be getting rid of your limiting beliefs about yourself and your particular life experiences.

Tony Robbins says, “The difference in the quality of people’s lives often comes down to the difference in the questions they consistently ask themselves.”

I believe Tony’s correct.  Using this idea for questions has helped me for about 30 years. It may help you, too. You may be tempted to give up because you’re not asking yourself the right questions. You may not reach your goal because you’re not asking yourself quality questions. Ask empowering questions to reach your goal.  To improve situations in your life and reach your goals, you’ve got to ask the right questions. Which questions below would get you to your goal?
Set A

  1. Why can’t I get published?
  2. How can I get published?

Set B

  1. Why can’t I sell 100 books in a month?
  2. How can I sell 100 books in a month?

Set C

  1. Why don’t publishers and agents accept my manuscript?
  2. Why will publishers and agents accept my manuscript?

Set D

  1. What’s wrong with my manuscript?
  2. What’s good about my manuscript?

Set E

  1. Why don’t people read my blog?
  2. Why do people read my blog?

Set F

  1. Why don’t I have enough time to write?
  2. How can I get more time to write?

Set G
1. Why can’t I get in 15 minutes of exercise a day?
2. How can I get in 15 minutes of exercise a day?

You see the difference. Ask questions in a positive voice so that you’ll get positive responses!

Ask in a negative voice and you get really negative answers. When you ask yourself questions that are worded in a positive manner, you will find answers that improve your life.

I challenge you to write a question using a positive voice about your writing, illustrating, or another problem in life that’s bugging you. You’ll be amazed at the ideas your wonderful brain comes up with to make things better for you and help you reach your goal. Remember Tony’s questioning criteria to be nice to yourself and respect you and your ideas.
