Take a step towards the Lord
by Joan Y. Edwards

Take a step towards the Lord
Open doors for those carrying heavy burdens.
Cook meals for a family whose main chef is under the weather.
Visit the sick.

Take a step towards the Lord.
When you hear a siren, pray for firefighters, police, and paramedics.
Pray for those you love.
Pray that each of us has the courage, skills, and wisdom to save lives.

Take a step towards the Lord.
Say good things to others:
Tell them, “You have a beautiful smile.”
Encourage them, “You can do this.”

Take a step towards the Lord.
Thank the cashier at the grocery store.
Thank the man who mows your grass.
Thank your family for being there for you.

Take a step towards the Lord.
One step for the homeless.
One step for the hungry.
One step for the thirsty.

Take a step towards the Lord.
Reach the top shelf for those who can’t reach it.
Pay for the lunch of the person behind you.
Help people find what they are looking for.

Take a step towards the Lord.
Listen.
Hear the angry. Hear the joyful. Hear the sad.
When you listen, it gives them hope.

What did you say, Lord?
The Lord says when you take a step towards him,
He’ll take that step with you.
He’ll be beside you, all the way.

Thank you, Lord. Thank you.
You have made our day.
Take a step towards the Lord.
He’ll be with you every step of the way!

I hope you enjoyed this video and talk with God. Please leave a message. Feel free to share with family and friends.
