“Lazarus, Come Out”

John 11:32-44 New American Bible

John 11:32-44 Bible Gateway NIV

Lazarus had been in the tomb four days when Jesus finally got there. Mary Magdalene and Martha his sisters were upset with Jesus. They thought if he had only been there, Lazarus would not have died. When Jesus saw how sad they were, he cried with them. He was filled with sorrow. This was one of the times, Jesus showed his human side.

Then he asked them to roll the stone away from the tomb. One person warned about the odor because he had been dead so long.

Jesus said, “Lazarus, come out.” All eyes were looking toward the tomb. Then Lazarus walked out alive.

Mary Magdalene and Martha were very happy and thankful to Jesus for bringing their brother back to life.

When you have fallen on the wrong side of the road and fallen down the embankment of sin and evil, ask Jesus to help you. He will forgive you and bring your soul back on the path to heaven. Just ask him.

Say the “Our Father” and remember when you are disappointed with how things are in your life. Ask Jesus to help you. He may not come right away. You may have to wait four days or more before you see the changes he makes for you. Have faith and believe in him, he will show you the way to heaven’s gate.

“Our Father, who art in Heaven,

Hallowed be Thy name.

Thy kingdom come.

Thy will be done,

On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day, our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses,

As we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.  Amen.
